Jan was such a sweet and beautiful person. As it turned out, Jan and I were cousins on my Mother's side of the family. after we graduated, Mom used to send me updates on her modeling career and some great pictures of her that appeared in various newspapers. She will always be missed, but her memory will always be in our hearts. Rest in Peace, Jan.

One of the best classes all day for me was home room.  Jan would always smile at me there and I'd just about melt in the chair everyday.  May you rest in peace, Jan.

i worked with Jan at Wexners in SA many years ago.  She was delightful and fun, she brought in her sister's famous tuna sandwiches....which I loved.  Have looked for Jan for many years.....am saddened by her passing.....a shining woman.  Peace and tranquility, Jan.

Jan and I went to Ursuline together, and were friends in the neighborhood. We were in a wreck together, with a friend of hers driving, when an 18-wheeler broke the convertible Corvair in half we were in in Wonderland parking lot. She broke both her collarbones in that wreck. I went with Jan to her first modeling try-out when we were at Hemisfair together, downtown. That must have been in 1968. She became an international model, and was away when Ken Gaunt, her husband, died in a fire in their house in San Antonio. Later, she married a French photographer, I think he was French, and continued modeling. Jan died of a brain aneurism. I don't remember what year it was. She was a very sweet woman, and it was great that she realized her dream of modeling..
