my condolances i remember john as a cool confident guy i first met him playing 9th grade football. I remember his brother a year behind us but i cant remember his name
In High School, it appeared that John was good at everything he did without really trying. There is a term that I use very often, “being comfortable in your own skin”. Most of us grow into this as we go through life. However, John had it very early while in High School. I was impressed that he was very comfortable in who he was, and this attitude stayed with me over the years. Rest In Peace Buddy.
I was so sad to see this. John was a great friend and super guy. We had lots of fun times and of course I loved hearing him play guitar with his fabulous band. He was an authentiic guy and knew who he was early on.

John wore Fonzi shoes BEFORE Fonzi. I thought John was really cool...and a little scary!

I did not know John well - I only remember him through visits to the Chris Smith's family home - my home at the time '69-'70.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all of his friends.

It's so true that he had style and swagger! We actually were boyfriend and girlfriend for a short while.
I wore his football jacket and ID bracelet too. What fun those days were! John, you will be missed!
