Jody was really a great guy. We knew him and his family. Very talented in many ways. We have 3 daughters. My middle daughter is named "Jody" because of Jody Peacock being such a nice person...and I loved the name. I am so sad to hear of his battle with cancer and now his passing.
Jody was the first friend I made when I transferred to Churchill in the middle of ninth grade. We played freshman basketball together and he showed me the ropes of northesast SA. "Class Act" is the perfect description. What a quality person. Rest in Peace, my friend.
I was so saddened to hear about Jody's passing. Class Act is the perfect description of him! Always smiling, always so nice! When we were planning the reunion, I was able to get in touch with him via email to tell him about our website and our Facebook page. He was in California and said he doubted he'd be able to make it. Am so glad I had a chance to say hi after all these years. As Carlos said, it sure does make us realize how precious each day is and to appreciate them as gifts. Rest in peace Jody!
I can remember all of the good times i had with Jody and Ronny Ash. we took Jody's wrecked car and turned it into the worlds fastest go-cart. He was a great guy!
When Jody showed up at Castle Hills Elementary every 6th grade girl wanted to ride her bike by his house! He was a gifted artist and a sweetheart of a guy.
I was so deeply saddened to learn about Jody's passing. He was such a great friend to me from 8th grade through our college years. We lost touch after we graduated from SWTSU in 1974, but reconnected in 2010 when Jody found me on Facebook. What a delight to catch up with each others' lives and to know that he was doing well and adored his wife and daughter. Although he said he wouldn't be able to make it to our 40th reunion, I had hoped that he might surprise us all by changing his mind at the last minute. We emailed a time or two after the reunion, but not for the last 2+ years.
Jody was always so positive, fun-loving, and kind to everyone. He lived his faith and really cared about people. He told me in high school that he was thinking about being a missionary. I have so many wonderful memories of him, his sweet family, his involvement in our church, and his occasional mischievious adventures. I could always count on him and he knew he could count on me.
So heartbroken that you left this world at such an early age, dear brother in Christ, but I know you are Home feeling our Lord's everlasting joy, with no more tears, no more pain.
How very sad to learn of the passing of Jody. He was such a class act and a part of almost every memory I have from Jr High and Churchill. I'll miss you man.
I too have memories of when Jody came to Castle Hills Elementary School Shelly. Every girl in the 6th grade had a crush on him. And that black curly hair!....a real cutie, as we used to say, AND really nice to boot!
At Churchill i got to know him again when he was in one of my classes. There is a picture in the annual of Jody and i at graduation, sitting next to each other at the ceremony and looking very serious. But the picture betrayed the fact that we had been talking and laughing a good part of the time. He was alot of fun and touched alot of people

i didn't know him personally but i remember seeing him at school and he did always have a smile on his face
another reminder that we don't live forever and should enjoy life as much as possible
may he rest in peace
